The Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants.  Please respond to ONE of the following:

• Discuss the nature and significance of the covenant between Abraham (and, by proxy, his descendants, the Israelites) and God (Genesis 15). What significance can you attach to the testing of Abraham’s faith with God’s command that Abraham sacrifice his son Isaac?
• Discuss the nature and significance of the covenant between the Israelites (represented by Moses) and God (Exodus 19 – 24 – especially Exodus 20:1 – 17).  If you were to divide the Ten Commandments into two groups, how would you divide them and why?  What would be the significance of these two groups?
